On May 30 a very interesting event was held jointly by Kutaisi University and disabled persons. It was a craft show where handcrafted items were exhibited and sold, and most importantly, it was a charity event as all the proceeds from sales went to help disabled persons in need.
This event was organized by first-year economics students of KU as part of the project in the course “Citizenship and democracy” taught by Tinatin Meparishvili. All the planning and organizing was done by the students themselves. They express their gratitude to the Mayor’s office for help with transportation of the university guests and to Kutaisi University for assistance at different stages of the project.
The economics students promise to carry out a lot of new interesting projects in the future and we would like to wish them success in all their initiatives.
