On December 18, 2010 Kutaisi University hosted the 2nd National Scientific Conference of Academics entitled “Economy of Georgia and Social and Economic Issues in Sustainable Development”.
At the opening ceremony the participants were welcomed by Professor Lela Kelbakiani, the Rector of Kutaisi University and Professor Niko Chikhladze.
The opening was followed by very interesting plenary sessions presented by Revaz Kakulia, Doctor of Economic Sciences, Kutaisi University Professor (“The Role of the State in the Transition Economy of Georgia”) and Paata Koghuashvili, Candidate of Economic Sciences, Georgian Technical University Professor (“Issues in Using Human Resource in Agrarian Production”).
Overall, 65 papers were presented at the forum. The participants divided into three sections had an opportunity to hear interesting presentations and take part in scientific discussions.
Kutaisi University funded publication of the conference proceedings that were distributed to all the participants.
