As part of “Europe Days 2023,” an information-intellectual meeting was organized in the open space of Kutaisi University. The event was organized by the NATO and EU Information Center.
During the meeting, the partner organizations that offer young people volunteering and involvement in various projects were presented.
Within the framework of the event, a presentation was also held about the Georgia-EU partnership. They discussed the European future of Georgia and the financing of Georgia from the EU side. Additionally, the presentation of Volunteer.ge, the first web platform for volunteering in Georgia, was held.
The rector of Kutaisi University, Gocha Tutberidze, made a speech at the event, emphasizing the projects financed by the European Union:
“The European Union has been a partner of Georgia for over 30 years. Many projects implemented in our country are financed by the European Union, whether they are cultural, law enforcement, or other types of projects. There is no field in which the European Union does not help Georgia. This organization stands by us to strengthen our independence and lets us share European values. Thanks to the NATO and EU Information Center for choosing our space to host the mentioned event,” said Kutaisi University Rector Gocha Tutberidze.
Marika Vacharadze, the representative of the NATO and EU Information Center in the Imereti region, summarized the activities planned for Europe Days and spoke about the events organized by the center.
Additionally, a quiz was organized where participants had to answer questions about the European Union. Souvenirs were given to authors of correct answers.
Paintings created by pupils of Khoni #1 public school within the framework of “Europe Days 2023” were also exhibited at the event.
