An information meeting was held at Kutaisi University within the framework of the project – “Creation of psychological counseling centers for students in higher educational institutions of Georgia” funded by the Erasmus+ CBHE program.
The representatives of “DAO” organization introduced the specifics of the work of the center and the psychological services offered by them to the public gathered at Kutaisi University, and also talked about the European standards and the relevant regulations in Georgia.
The meeting focused on the importance of mental health, stigma and existing stereotypes. In addition, the challenges of geographical accessibility and the research of the needs of the population of Kutaisi carried out by the organization were discussed.
The event took place during the European Week of Mental Health.
