Kutaisi University has expanded its international partnerships by establishing a new Erasmus+ collaboration with the Open University of Cyprus (OUC), which is now an official International Credit Mobility (ICM) partner.
The partnership will allow the academic staff of the Kutaisi University to participate in short-term study mobility in the direction of Cyprus Open University during the 2024-2025 academic year.
OUC requested Kutaisi University to nominate a candidate for this opportunity, leading to the selection of Mirza Khidasheli, PhD, Professor at the Faculty of Social Sciences, Business, and Law. His candidacy has been submitted to OUC, with final approval pending from their Academic Coordinators. This nomination marks the start of a significant new ICM collaboration between the two institutions. Upon approval, the exchange program will begin, backed by secured Erasmus+ funding, with plans for continued cooperation based on the agreement.
The partnership with OUC is expected to enhance academic mobility and foster deeper ties between the institutions, enriching both universities’ academic environments.
