The Final Conference within the Framework of TEMPUS PEOPLE Project

On 16-17 May 2017, the American University of Armenia (AUA) hosted a two-day final conference within the framework of the TEMPUS PEOPLE (Promoting Educational Organization Through People) project.

 

The aim of the conference was to share Good Practices obtained in TEMPUS PEOPLE project during 2014-2017. The conference was attended by the coordinator of National “Erasmus+” Office in Armenia – Ms. Lana Karlova and representatives of project partner universities from 6 countries: Armenia, Kazakhstan, Georgia, Spain, Portugal and Sweden.

 

Two representatives of our university (Nino Khazaradze – Director of Kutaisi University and Elguja Deisadze – Head of International Relations Office) participated in the conference. At the plenary session named “Country Perspectives on the Development of Human Resources in Higher Education Institutions of Project Partner Countries” Elguja Deisadze, the local coordinator of “PEOPLE” project, in his speech, emphasized the impact of PEOPLE project in Georgia. He pointed out that PEOPLE project, within the established Resources Centers in Kutaisi University (KU) and Ilia State University (ISU) and properly retrained middle level HR managers of both universities, would also contribute to the sustainable development of HR processes in other HEIs of Georgia.

 

In the second half of the first day of the conference, at one of the parallel sessions named “Strategic Planning of Human Resources Management” moderated by Portuguese and Kazakh HR experts, our university demonstrated its experience in the elaboration and implementation of HR strategic objectives.

 

The second day of the conference was fully devoted to the conclusions of the parallel sessions presented by the rapporteurs of the sessions. It is noteworthy to mention that contribution of our university to the project success was duly appreciated.
