Procedures related to enrollment
A person with complete general education has the right to study at the undergraduate educational program of Kutaisi University. A prerequisite for admission to the undergraduate educational program is the successful passing of the unified national exam. The prerequisites for admission to various educational programs are determined by the programs.
An exception to the general rule of enrollment in a higher educational institution will be allowed only in cases established by law.
A person with a bachelor's degree or an academic degree equivalent to it, who is enrolled based on the results of the common master's exams, or on the basis of internal/external mobility, or without passing the common master's exams in accordance with the rules established by the legislation of Georgia.

Additional conditions for admission to the master's education program in finance are:
- Passing the internal university exam in the specialty. The issues of the internal university exam and the criteria for evaluating the knowledge of the examinees will be posted on the university's website ( www.unik.edu.ge ) at least three months before the beginning of the exams.
- To pass the internal university exam in English, it is mandatory to confirm the English language proficiency at the B2 level as a result of the English language exam. Determining the level of English language proficiency is carried out in accordance with the "Rule for Determining the Language Competence of a Student of Kutaisi University". B2 level can also be confirmed with a document confirming knowledge of the appropriate level of English. Guidelines for determining the level of English language proficiency: English language: CEFR B2 IELTS exam – 5.5 BEC exam and CELS exam – Vantage Cambridge exam – FCE TOEIC – 785 TOEFL iBT – 72 TOEFL ITP – 543
Completion of an English-language educational program (bachelor's, master's and doctoral level) by the candidate (in Georgia or abroad) can be considered as proof of knowledge of the English language at the B2 level. Documentary confirmation of the above is mandatory.
The right to study on the program without passing the common master's exams will be obtained :
Persons who have the right to enroll in the university on the basis of the order of the Minister of Education and Science of Georgia dated December 29, 2011 No. without passing unified national exams in TET. The mentioned persons are obliged to confirm the B2 level of the Georgian language in accordance with the "Rules for determining the language competence of Kutaisi University students". Persons enrolled in the program without passing the common master's exams are not exempted from internal university exams (specialty and English language-B2 level).

According to the order of the Minister of Education and Science of Georgia dated February 4, 2010 No. 10/N "On approval of the procedure and fees for transferring from a higher educational institution to another higher educational institution" students enrolled by the mobility method.

Funding of studies : studies on the master's program are financed by a state grant.
List of documents required for admission to doctoral programs :
- Master's or equivalent academic degree in economics or business administration. For candidates with other academic degrees, a master's degree or equivalent academic degree is mandatory
- At least 5 years of experience working in a managerial position (under equal conditions, preference will be given to those candidates who have scientific publications on the topic of economics or business and participation in various scientific conferences and forums (documents confirming participation in scientific conferences and a collection of works must be submitted together with other documents).
- copy of identity document;
- 2 photographs;
- autobiography (CV);
- Document confirming being on military registration (for boys).
- Proof of English language proficiency (if any).
Procedures for admission to the doctoral program :
- A prerequisite for admission to the program is to have a B2 level of English, for which candidates must present a diploma confirming the completion of an English-language bachelor's or master's program or an international certificate confirming English language proficiency, or pass an exam organized by the university. The exam will be held in accordance with the "rules for determining the language competence of Kutaisi University students", which is posted on the university's website: unik.edu.ge. The minimum threshold of results obtained in both components of the English language exam is 80 points. Candidates who cannot overcome the mentioned threshold lose the right to continue participating in the competition.
- The research application form for the doctoral program in economics is available on the university website: unik.edu.ge. The research application and presentation are evaluated according to the criteria defined by the doctoral educational program, which will be posted on the Kutaisi University website: unik.edu.ge.
If you are a citizen or stateless person of a foreign country and received a complete general or equivalent education in a foreign country;
If you are a citizen of Georgia, you received full general education or its equivalent in a foreign country and studied the last 2 years of full general education in a foreign country;
If you are a citizen of a foreign country (except for students participating in a joint higher education program and students participating in an exchange education program), you are/were studying and received credits/qualifications in a foreign country at a higher education institution recognized in accordance with the legislation of that country.
If you are a citizen of Georgia (except for students participating in a joint higher education program and students participating in an exchange education program), you lived in a foreign country for at least 75 days during one of the semesters during your studies at a higher educational institution of a foreign country and received credits/qualifications in a foreign country in accordance with the legislation of that country in a recognized higher educational institution.
