Kutaisi University was involved in two European Union (Erasmus+) projects, namely:
The main goal of the E-PSY "Creation of Student Psychological Counseling Centers in Georgian Higher Education Institutions" project is to provide social and psychological assistance to students through the creation of psychological counseling centers in Georgian higher education institutions. Also, the project envisages: creation of psychological centers for students in partner higher education institutions; training and retraining of personnel; development of recommendations and legislative documents; raising the awareness of students and the general public about mental health; To create the Association of Psychological Counseling Centers of Georgian Universities.
The project consortium consists of 14 members:

Summary Conference
On December 19, 2023, the final conference of the Erasmus+ institutional cooperation project "Opening psychological counseling centers for students in higher educational institutions of Georgia" and the program "Promotion of higher education" of the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia was held at Sukhumi State University, where the results taken into account by the project were summarized together with partner organizations.

The RURD "Role of Universities in the Development of the Region" project aims to increase the role of regional higher educational institutions of Georgia in the development of regions, modernize their mission and strategic development plan, as well as strengthen cooperation between universities and local government bodies, taking into account the specifics of each region.
