Student self-government is a student organization in Kutaisi University that organizes cultural, sports and intellectual events. Also acts as a middle link between students and administration.

The student government organizes meetings with students to identify their views and needs. Plans and implements various activities: film screenings, board games, field trips, etc.

The current student self-government was convened in 2023 , whose mandate was determined for a 2- year term .

Student self-government:

• conducts information meetings;
• cooperates with university, governmental and non-governmental organizations, unions, state and international organizations;
• plans and organizes various cultural, sports, educational events;
• establishes clubs and promotes their activities;
•  periodically evaluates the work of the academic staff in cooperation with the quality assurance service of the university;

University students have the right to form clubs with different profiles and directions in agreement with the Student and Alumni Service Center and the Student Self-Government. See here for information about the clubs operating in the university.
