The ERASMUS + EU Institutional Development Project “The Role of Universities in the Development of the Region” was launched with the participation of Kutaisi University.
The first coordination meeting of the project was held on December 9-10, attended by Lela Kelbakiani, Rector of Kutaisi University, Tchabuki Tcheishvili, Head of the Strategic Development, Internationalization and Research Enhancment Office, and Nikoloz Chikhladze, an affiliated professor at Kutaisi University. The aim of the project is to increase the role of Georgia’s regional higher education institutions in the development of the regions, modernize their mission and strategic development plan, as well as strengthen cooperation between universities and local government bodies in cooperation with EU partners.
Georgian regional universities and partners from Spain, Austria, the Czech Republic and Lithuania are participating in the project.
The Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of Georgia and the National Center for Education Quality Development are also involved in the project.
