Confucius class
The Confucius Institute/Classroom is a non-profit organization jointly run by Chinese and foreign partner universities. Confucius Institute/Class aims to teach Chinese language and introduce Chinese culture to the general public. The institute also promotes the organization of various educational exchange projects.
In 2020, Kutaisi University and Xinjiang Medical University signed a memorandum of cooperation and agreed to jointly establish a "Confucius Classroom" at the base of Kutaisi University.
The Confucius Class offers those interested in learning the Chinese language and raising awareness about China and Chinese culture. The aim of the institute is to create a platform for friendly cooperation on language education and intercultural learning.
The main functions of Kutaisi Confucius class are:
- Providing Chinese language learning for students and all other interested parties;
- organization of international educational exchange projects;
- Facilitating the development of educational resources - textbooks and curricula, providing relevant disciplines and academic studies.
- Conducting certification tests for teachers and students, such as CTCSOL and HSK programs, determining appropriate assessment, accreditation and certification.
- organization of relevant activities for international exchange programs and cooperation;
- promotion of cultural relations between Georgia and China, etc
