On November 16, 2011 a delegation from twinned city Newport (Wales) visited Kutaisi University. The members of the delegation were the Head of the Newport-Kutaisi Twinning Association Ms. Sonia Fisher and the Head of the Newport University Library Mr. Martin Edwards. The purpose of the visit was to get acquainted with the activities carried out by Kutaisi University. They looked at the University laboratories and lecture halls and talked to the authorities, the teaching staff and students. Some perspectives of future relationship between the two universities were made.
