With the start of every new theatrical season Kutaisi University students, academic staff and administration organize visits to Lado Meskhishvili State Drama Theatre to attend new performances. This year the university remained faithful to this tradition.
This time it was a one-act drama “HELLADOS” based on Nodar Dumbadze’s short stories and a comedy by William Shakespeare “A Midsummer Night’s Dream”. A very pleasing and important fact that became obvious after this visit is that the students love and appreciate the world of theatre. This may be due to high level of professionalism of the cast of Meskhishvili Drama Theatre, their masterly performance, original and creative direction and beautiful sets. Enthusiasm, respect for the audience and the stage demonstrated by young actors of the theatre deserves special mention.
Theatrical evenings for the university students and staff will continue.
