The students of Kutaisi University are always actively involved in all the events organized by the local authorities. This time the young people volunteered to take part in cleaning the city, an event dedicated to the World Water Day and planned under the project “Clean Up Georgia”.
Shota Murghulia, the Acting Mayor of Kutaisi, Zaza Meparishvili, the Governor of Imereti Region and Levan Kirkitadze, the acting Chair of the City Council also joined the young people together with other representatives of the local government and cleaned up the area around Rustaveli Bridge.
“We have beautiful views and lovely squares in the city and everyone should try to clean and look after them. Such actions are held on a regular basis”, declared Shota Murghulia.
