The Head of the ProCredit Bank’s Kutaisi Branch Irakli Esartia visited our University on December 15, 2011. The meeting was held in the Conference Hall of the Kutaisi University (KU), where the guest gave the graduates of the KU (Bachelors) detailed information about application requirements for “Young Bankers Programme”. This is a new initiative of ProCredit Bank Georgia offering a six-month introductory course on banking and finance on a quarterly basis. The whole course takes place in Tbilisi. The candidates are sponsored via a stipend programme for six months and accommodation is arranged for those arriving from regions. Upon successful completion of the six-month course, there is a strong possibility that the stipend recipient will be offered an employment contract by the bank.
The application requirements for “Young Bankers Programme” are available on the web-site of the bank, though the special visit of the respectful guest for discussing details with our graduates can be considered as one of the manifestations of long-term fruitful cooperation and partnership between ProCredit Bank Georgia and the Kutaisi University.
The majority of the graduates of the KU expressed a strong interest and willingness to participate in the program. There were interesting questions and discussions at the meeting as well.
