“Distance E-Learning Course in Tourism“ Press-Conference on Project

On May 29, 2011 a press conference was held at Kutaisi University summarizing the results of the I stage of TEMPUS-DE-TEMPUS-JPHES  WeNeT  “Distance E-Learning  Network in Tourism”. Representatives from higher educational and research institutions of Austria, Germany, Slovakia, Italy, Ukraine, Belarus and Georgia took part in this event.

• promoting professional training in Georgia
• Implementing distance learning
• Possibility of recognizing informal education as awarding professional qualifications

The Mayor of Kutaisi Mr. Gia Tevdoradze, Vice Mayor David Gordeladze and several other representatives of the local government were invited to the press conference as guests of honour.

New high-standard conference hall was opened at Kutaisi University on this day.
