On February 13 Kutaisi University hosted the representatives of Kutaisi Education Development and Employment Centre under Applied Civic Education and Teacher Training program funded by PH-Internacional USAID.
The Rector of Kutaisi University Professor Lela Kelbakiani met the pupil representatives of Kutaisi public schools and tutor Tinatin Meparishvili made a short presentation about Kutaisi University. The presentation was followed by a very sincere and animated discussion of various issues that interested the visitors. Then the guests were shown around the university building, classrooms, computer laboratories, the library, assembly hall, cafeteria and museum. Representatives of student self-government acted as their guides.
The visitors were presented with souvenirs, university newspaper, catalogue and T-shirts.
Natia Namicheishvili, program coordinator for Imereti Region expressed her gratitude for the well-organized and warm welcome they received at Kutaisi University and emphasized their willingness to continue and broaden this cooperation in future.
