The Results of Marketing Research and Recommendations for Tourism SectorDevelopment
On December 9, at the Conference Hall of Kutaisi University, an official presentation
was held on the theme: “The Results of Marketing Research and Recommendations to
Self-government City of Kutaisi for Tourism Sector Development.” The presentation
report was based on key *ndings from research projects which were conducted within
the framework of TEMPUS project “Cruise-T” and Internal Grant Project of
Kutaisi University in 2015. (The coordinator of Internal Grant Project was N.
Khazaradze; and the project experts were: L. Kelbakiani, N. Chikhladze, G.
Shanidze, D. Shavianidze, E. Deisadze, G. Tchumburidze, and V. Gurabanidze.)
The presentation was given by Elguja Deisadze and George Chumburidze. The
following representatives of local authorities were participated in the discussions:
Shota Murgulia – The Mayor of Kutaisi City; Nikoloz Lataria and Beka Kancheli -
The Deputy Chairmen of Kutaisi Sakrebulo (City Council); and heads of relevant offices
in the City Hall.
The research report containing concrete proposals and recommendations for tourism
sector development in Kutaisi was handed over to the City Authorities. Some of these
recommendations are supposed to be considered in the strategic plan of Kutaisi
development.
