The First International Conference on Improving Academic Standards in Education - “ISE2015” was held at D. Tvildiani Medical University in Tbilisi, on October 29-30, 2015. Representatives from Georgia, Austria, Poland, Denmark, Spain, Armenia and Azerbaijan participated in the conference. The conference consisted of symposiums on two days; first day was devoted to the lessons learned in TEMPUS PACT Project and the second day to ongoing TEMPUS Projects experience, networking and generating ideas for prospective projects. Plenary sessions, poster presentations, workshops and round-table formats were included in the symposiums.
The invitation from D. Tvildiani Medical University had been accepted by Kutaisi University (KU) for disseminating ongoing results of TEMPUS PEOPLE project on the second day of the conference. The Project Posters on the goals and objectives of PEOPLE project were published and delivered to the participants of the symposium. The ongoing results of PEOPLE project were presented by Lela Kelbakiani – the co-owner of Kutaisi University and, at the same time, the active member of PEOPLE project team. Her public speech made a great impression on the participants of the symposium who expressed their readiness to consult further on university strategic planning issues with KU.
